TSMC’s response forced to wait a little over a month and now, we have another lawsuit, only now to GlobalFoundries.
TSMC has filed a GlobalFoundries lawsuit for infringing 25 of its patents in the manufacture of 12-nm, 14-nm, 22-nm, 28-nm, 40-nm semiconductor products. The company sent lawsuits to all courts where GlobalFoundries manufacturing facilities are located – the USA, Germany and Singapore, demanding to halt production and pay the funds received through the use of 25 patents.
It is not known for what purpose this war of lawsuits began and continues. All that is known is that AMD uses the services of both GlobalFoundries and TSMC, and anyone who will definitely feel the consequences of this war is AMD.
